Married At First Sight’s Drew Brauer jokes about having coronavirus in a quarantine parody song

‘I hear the bat soup’s nice, but it’s not for me’: Married At First Sight’s Drew Brauer insults Scott Morrison and jokes about having coronavirus in his new quarantine parody song

Married At First Sight intruder Drew Brauer has written an outlandish quarantine parody song amid the coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, the 31-year-old called Prime Minister Scott Morrison a ‘d**k’ and joked about having the deadly virus in a Facebook video on his music page ‘DrewBoy’.

The mental health charity founder also sang about going ‘crazy’ while in isolation, but felt ‘humour’ was a ‘great way’ to improve somebody’s mental wellbeing.

In the footage, Drew donned a dinosaur onesie while surrounded by teddy bears, as he came out of a makeshift blanket fort and chugged a travel-sized bottle of Dettol hand sanitiser.

‘I’m feeling contagious, I’ve been coughing now for ages, call the nurse to come and save us,’ the song started.

The reality star continued: ‘And I’m spewin’ and I’m pooin’ and I don’t know what I’m doin’ and my toilet paper is gone, it isn’t good.

‘Scomo [Scott Morrison] what do you mean, going into quarantine, it wasn’t COVID-19, you’re a d**k.’

Drew went on to complain he wasn’t able to get a haircut, before singing he believed he had coronavirus and was ‘sick like Miley Cyrus’.

‘Our bosses are gonna fire us and I drank all the hand sanitiser. I shouldn’t have done that, that was gross. Stuck in quarantine. Going crazy.

‘Oh, we’re on quarantine. I hear the bat soup’s nice but it’s just not for me. Let’s self-isolate ’til we go crazy. We’re on quarantine, we’ll stay on for the kick ons,’ he finished.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Drew explained he made the song because it was important to have ‘positive, lighthearted content’ amid the pandemic news.

‘Humour and laughter are great ways to improve your mental health,’ he said.

Drew admitted he ‘didn’t realise’ other media personalities were speaking openly about the mental health impact isolation has had on them and others.

He went on to add his charity Kick On plans to develop content on how people can stay ‘physically and mentally’ healthy while self-distancing.

‘I have received a lot of messages saying, “thank you for brightening my day and making me laugh. I needed it”.

‘That was the only objective and I assure you I have no bad intentions in this or anything else I do,’ Drew said.
