Married At First Sight’s Connie Crayden exuded a newfound confidence when she debuted her stunning new look on Talking Married earlier this month.

And now the truth behind her glamorous makeover has been revealed.

According to Woman’s Day, producers had purposely made Connie look frumpy and bookish earlier in the season to make her eventual transformation seem more dramatic.

‘The producers encouraged her not to wear makeup and wear oversized glasses on set,’ claimed a source.  

The insider added that ‘villainous’ brides like Hayley Vernon were encouraged to look glamorous at all times, while Connie’s laid-back approach helped portray her as a likeable girl next door. 

‘It’s all part of character building and obviously they wanted Connie as the meek and shy bride. But the old Connie is certainly back,’ they source added.

She styled her hair with edgy bangs and long, luscious waves, and wore a full face of makeup, including a smokey eye, on the talk show.

Connie dumped ‘husband’ Jonethen Musulin at their final vow ceremony on Sunday night, revealing she learned to love herself instead of him.

She delivered an empowering speech about self-love, and thanked her ‘husband’ for helping her ‘find herself’ and ultimately become a strong, confident woman.

However, a glimpse at the reality TV star’s Instagram feed before the show doesn’t appear to be anything like the wallflower she portrayed on screen.
