Colin Hanks takes no chances when it comes to coronavirus… while Chet Hanks complains on Instagram that people have misunderstood his ‘Illuminati’ tattoo

His superstar dad was one of the first high-profile victims of the coronavirus pandemic.

And Colin Hanks clearly wasn’t taking any chances when it came to his own health, with the Fargo actor spotted out and about in Los Angeles wearing plenty of protective gear on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old son of Hanks and the late actress Samantha Lewes covered his face with a construction dust mask and wore latex gloves as he head to his car.

Apart from the protective gear, the father-of-two went casual in a T-shirt, trousers and checked Vans sneakers.

He covered his head with a dark baseball cap.

It should be noted that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) do not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory illnesses, including coronavirus.

Tom Hanks was shooting an Elvis Presley biopic (playing Colonel Tom Parker), when it was announced he and wife Rita Wilson tested positive for COVID-19.

Wilson has a new movie entitled Love is Love is Love that was scheduled for release in April, though that seems unlikely due to theaters across the country shutting down due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile the couple’s 29-year-old son Chet took to Instagram on Tuesday to complain that his recent tattoo had been misinterpreted by fans.

‘You motherf**kers are going to believe what you want ’cause you’re already so f**king committed to your weird Internet conspiracies, but I’m not actually in the f**king Illuminati, dude,’ ranted the actor.

Pointing out the ink in question -the Eye of Providence, a symbol often associated with the mythical secret society called the Illuminati- Chet explained: ‘I got this f**king tattoo because I’m extremely spiritual.’

‘I believe in God. I believe that God oversees everything, has a plan for everything.’

He signed off by saying, ‘Does it look like I’m in the f**king Illuminati dude? I got a bunch of s**tty ass f**king furniture in here.’
