Ariana Grande shows off vocal range as she covers the Whitney Houston classic I Believe In You And Me during her self-quarantine

From documenting her darling dogs to urging her young fans to ‘stay inside,’ Ariana has attempted to put her idle time to good use since self-quarantining in wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

And the 26-year-old singer decided to get back to her roots on Thursday evening, when she took to Twitter to share her acapella rendition of the Whitney Houston classic I Believe In You And Me.

‘U know I love u boy,’ captioned Grande who, in the black-and-white video clip, can be seen sitting on the floor of her Los Angeles home as she belts out the pop ballad.

The Grammy award-winning songstress’ vocals ebbed and flowed with ease as she moved from the song’s soothing verses to its emotionally charged chorus.

The one-minute and 17-second clip is not Grande’s first time toying with Houston’s discography.

Back in 2016, the singer took to the stage to honor the late music legend in a medley performed during the season finale of ABC’s short lived series Greatest Hits.

Grande also impersonated the I Will Always Love You singer, during an episode of the long standing sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live that same year.

Besides putting her vocal talents on display for her 72million Twitter followers, Ariana has used her Instagram story as a means of documenting her day-to-day quarantine activities.

On Tuesday, the No Tears Left To Cry songstress, who owns anywhere from nine to 12 rescue dogs, highlighted her gang of pooches in a series of photos of videos.

‘Ur welcome,’ captioned Grande on a photo featuring one of her several cute dogs perched on a stairwell, its hind legs folded adorably on a higher step.

Another photo showed the same animal on the couch in black and white, accompanied by another canine swathed in a white blanket, this one peering at the camera with a hilarious side-eye expression.

Grande was more lengthy in the caption for this post, in an effort to engage with fans.

‘Sending love,’ the 7 Rings songbird scribed. ‘hope everyone is doing some serious netflix binging, book reading, group facetiming, bubble bathing, writing, painting, whatever makes u feel sane while isolating and keeping yourselves and others safe.’

But Grande sung a more aggressive tune on Sunday, when she blasted fans on both Instagram and Twitter for not adhering to the strict social-distancing mandate.

‘I keep hearing from a surprising amount of people statements like – “This isn’t a big deal”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/”We’ll be fine”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/”We still have to go about our lives” – and it’s really blowing my mind,’ wrote Grande via her Instastory.

She continued: ‘I understand that is how [you] felt weeks ago, but please read about what’s going on. Don’t turn a blind eye. It is incredibly dangerous and selfish to take this situation that lightly.

‘The “we will be fine because we’re young” mindset is putting people who aren’t young and/or healthy in a lot of danger. You sound stupid and privileged and you need to care more about others. Like now.’

The God Is A Woman singer received a barrage of backlash, with many fans urging the star to ‘check her privilege’ as many people across the globe lack the luxury of staying indoors and missing work.
