Married At First Sight has continued to captivate viewers with its drama.
And the show was going to reach new heights this season with yet another scandal but producers shut down the idea.
According to WHO, Stacey Hampton and Mikey Pembroke had negotiated a couple swap before bosses released the season was already ‘too mental’.

An insider revealed that producers informed the pair: ‘It’s not happening. It’s already a basket case show.’
‘It’s too mental. We’re trying to get some normality back in the show.’
Stacey, 26, is currently paired with Michael Goonan on the show while Mikey, 29, was matched with Natasha Spencer.

This comes after MAFS’ brides Hayley Vernon and Natasha Spencer claimed that producers encouraged the couples to cheat in the final weeks of the experiment.
Natasha told Daily Mail Australia that KC Osborne was urged to go on a date with Jonethen Musulin because producers felt they had similar values.
‘KC and Jonny went on a date… they got partnered together and sent on a high-class date,’ said the 26-year-old financial analyst.
Hayley, 32, added: ‘All the remaining couples switched partners. It wasn’t just them.’

It comes amid reports KC Osborne is now dating her MAFS co-star Michael Goonan, who is paired with Stacey on the show.
According to Woman’s Day, the pair are ‘smitten’ and an engagement is on the cards.
‘Trust me, they’ll be engaged this time next year!’ an unnamed source reportedly told the magazine.
They added: ‘I think Michael has definitely found his match in her.’
