Farmer Wants A Wife reveals the five contestants in new trailer that confirms release date

‘Are you The One?’ Farmer Wants A Wife reveals the five countrymen who will star in the rebooted series – as the show’s release date is confirmed

After disappearing for three years from Australian screens, Farmer Wants a Wife has been renewed for a tenth season.

And on Wednesday, Channel 7 revealed that the dating show would be returning to TV in April of this year.

A new trailer for the series introduced new hunky farmers Alex, Harry, Nick, Sam and Neil, who would be looking for love in the new series.

The start of the trailer plays on the idea of messenger pigeons, as the farmers tie notes to chickens, which deliver love letters to women across the country.

One woman sitting at an office desk opens up a note that reads: ‘I’m looking for love. Are you The One?’

Eventually, the chickens lead an army of brides running down a hill to the five farmers, who are flabbergasted by the choice of beautiful women.

The show’s original host Natalie Gruzlewski also made an appearance in the trailer.

Natalie hosted Farmer Wants a Wife from 2007 to 2012 while Samantha McClymont hosted the ninth season in 2016.

Farmer Wants A Wife was initially on Channel Nine when it originally aired.

It ran for eight seasons before it was cancelled, before being renewed in 2016 only to be axed again due to disappointing ratings.

Seven released the first adverts for the new series in November.

The previous trailer took shots at Channel 7’s rival show Married At First Sight, which airs on Channel 9.

It bragged that previous seasons of the show have produced nine marriages and ’20 Aussie kids’, who would not have been born without the series.

Meanwhile, MAFS has produced three couples who are still together and one wedding between Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant last year.
