Married At First Sight: Hayley Vernon CONFIRMS return to the show

Guess who’s back! Hayley Vernon CONFIRMS her return to Married At First Sight as she arrives on set to confront arch rival Stacey Hampton

Hayley Vernon is set to make a spectacular return to Married At First Sight, weeks after being unceremoniously kicked off the show.

Producers flew the 32-year-old finance broker back to Sydney for a last-minute girls’ night shoot on November 26, a month before the scheduled cast reunion.

Hayley was determined to settle an old score with Stacey Hampton, who had sided with her ‘husband’, Michael Goonan, in the cheating scandal that saw her sent home earlier in the season.

Hayley spoke to Daily Mail Australia at the airport before her showdown with Stacey.

‘What am I expecting from tonight? I’m a little bit in the dark about what’s going on, to be honest with you,’ she said.

‘It could be a little bit of a s**t show, based on everything that has been going down, couldn’t it? Am I going to bring more drama? Butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth! A lot of them I don’t get along with.’

After flying in from Melbourne, Hayley raced to a hotel in Sydney’s CBD to change her clothes before a meeting with producers.

She arrived at the Married At First Sight studio in Lilyfield just hours later. It’s believed the other brides had no idea she was about to walk in.

Hayley and her ex-‘husband’, David Cannon, left the experiment on October 16, after her cheating scandal with Michael tore their already struggling relationship apart.

At the third dinner party, Michael repeatedly denied kissing Hayley and said he was ‘too drunk’ to remember what happened.

Incredibly, Stacey sided with her ‘husband’ despite Hayley swearing on her life that they had kissed each other after a boozy night out.

It’s believed Hayley confronted Stacey at the girls’ night about her decision to stay with Michael and the fact she’d called her a liar.

On January 15, Hayley returned once again for the official cast reunion, where she was joined by David and all of the other participants.

Hayley’s exit from Married At First Sight was surrounded by controversy.

After she confessed to kissing Michael, David got revenge on his ‘wife’ by cleaning the toilet with her toothbrush and then putting it back in its holder.

This vile act – as well as Hayley and Michael’s secret kiss – was exposed at the third dinner party, and several other couples were caught in the crossfire.

At the subsequent commitment ceremony, David voted to leave the experiment but Hayley elected to stay in order to punish her ‘husband’ for the toothbrush incident.

But the relationship experts wouldn’t allow it, saying their marriage had become so ‘toxic’ the couple had to leave immediately.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.
