Jay-Z was all smiles as he escorted his eight-year-old daughter Blue Ivy to watch the Los Angeles Lakers take the LA Clippers on Sunday at the Staples Center. 

During the game, the proud papa wrapped his arm around his little girl, as they sat courtside and watched the city rivals take the court by storm. 

The stylish preteen, who wore her long hair in braids, sported an all-black ensemble, combat boots and kept a light-wash jean jacket on her lap during the game.

Without Blue’s mother Beyonce in attendance, the pair soaked in some quality father daughter time, while cheering on their team. 

Throughout the game, Blue leaned on her dad’s shoulder and seemed enthused during the plays. 

For the special outing, the Empire State of Mind hitmaker, who also shares 2-year-old twins Sir and Rumi with his wife, wore a grey sweatshirt, gold chain and a Rhude baseball cap, which repped Los Angeles.

The grade-schooler appeared lively for the majority of the game and kept her eyes fixated on the court, just like Jay-Z. 

In one adorable moment, Blue whispered to her dad, who chuckled and started pointing out what was happening. 

Later in the game, fans could see the mini-Beyonce mimicking his hand gestures and telling her dad where to look.

Attending sporting events together appears to be a hit for pair, who also went to the Super Bowl together last month. 

Jay, who is currently on the NFL payroll as a creative advisor, seemed excited about the festivities after revealing he actually turned down the coveted Super Bowl halftime show years ago.

This year he revealed he turned down the chance to perform the Super Bowl half-time in a New York Times article because of the restrictions placed on him for the show. 

Speaking out, he explained the NFL had made it a condition of the gig that he bring along Kanye West and Rihanna as guest performers on his track Run This Town.

‘Of course I would have,’ Jay-Z told the paper of the interaction. ‘But I said, “No, you get me.”

‘That is not how you go about it, telling someone that they’re going to do the halftime show contingent on who they bring. I said forget it. It was a principle thing.’

Jay Z spoke out about the missed opportunity, which happened a few years ago, as he explained why he partnered with the NFL last year, to his fans’ outrage.

‘As long as real people are being hurt and marginalized and losing family members, then yes, I can take a couple rounds of negative press,’ he said in his NYT interview.

Under the initiative, the NFL pledged to commit $100million over the course of 10 years for social justice outreach and causes. For the Super Bowl on Sunday, the NFL has sponsored a PSA geared towards the stories of black men killed by police.
