Gabriel Union and husband Dwyane Wade announced last month that the former NBA star’s 12-year old child, born Zion, is transgender and identifies as a female named Zaya.

And on Saturday, the family trio stepped out together and attended the Better Brothers Los Angeles’ 6th annual Truth Awards at Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles.

The event aims to increase awareness of the Black LGBTQ community, and highlight their contributions in life, career and mainstream culture, according to betterbrothersla.com.

Beaming with pride, the Wade family hit the red carpet in color-coordinated ensembles.

The legendary Miami Heat star, 38, looked Miami stylish in a two-tone blazer of black and white with matching black pants.

He paired it with a pink shirt that was buttoned to the top without a tie and black dress shoes.

Union, 47, looked nearly identical in a two-tone black and white suit, only she opted for a plunging style by pairing it in a skimpy green top and open-toed heels.

Keeping with a universal fashion theme, Zaya matched her dad and step-mother by wearing black pants with a green blazer and shirt and a pink accessory around her waist.

On more than one occasion, the Wades flashed approving and proud smiles at Zaya as the photographers snapped away.

Union also shared some behind-the-scenes photos of her family’s weekend outing on her Instagram Story.

In February, the family made headlines with Zaya came out as transgender, which turned out to be a decision that was a long time coming.

In an interview with GMA, the three-time NBA champion revealed that Zaya knew her gender identity since she was just three-years-old.

‘She’s known it for nine years. She’s known since she was three years old,’ Wade said.

‘Along this way, we’ve asked questions and we’ve learned. But she’s known.’

When Zaya finally did come forward to reveal her truth, Wade had to learn what it meant for his daughter to be transgender.

‘And so internally, now it’s our job to one, go out and get information, to reach out to every relationship that we have,’ he confessed during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
