And on Friday, the UK comedian, 44, took time out to visit the Neighbours set in Melbourne and film a cameo opposite veteran star Ryan Moloney.
It comes after his ex-wife Katy Perry, who is also in the Victorian city, revealed she’s expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

As reported by the Sunday Herald Sun, Russell filmed a cameo opposite Ryan, 40, who plays Jarrod ‘Toadfish’ Rebecchi on the long-running Channel Ten soap.
The episode, which will air in June, sees Russell visiting Erinsborough for the Erinsborough Writer’s Festival.
Executive Producer Jason Herbison told the Herald Sun that after learning Russell was a fan of the show, they invited him to visit the set.

‘We heard a whisper that Russell was a Neighbours fan and couldn’t resist inviting him to the set,’ he said.
‘As it turned out, we were filming an upcoming storyline that gave an organic reason for him to pass through Ramsay Street and we’re not just about his comedic talent – his literary genius plays a huge part.’
Russell was pictured in a number of selfies with cast and crew of the show, including former Bachelor star-turned-actor Tim Robards.

Meanwhile, the author’s ex-wife Katy, 35, is currently in Melbourne for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 event.
The American songstress proudly showed off her growing baby bump in a multicoloured frock at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday.
She will then perform at a free concert for Victoria’s bushfire-ravaged community at Bright’s Pioneer Park on March 11.
