Julie Bowen of Modern Family fame is set to star in the new CBS comedy pilot Raised By Wolves from the creators of Will & Grace
She just wrapped an 11-year stint on a beloved family show that won her a pair of Emmys.
And now Julie Bowen, famous for playing mom Claire Dunphy on Modern Family, already has her sights set on her next project, in which she will star.
As reported by Deadline, the actress, 50, will play the lead in the new comedy pilot Raised by Wolves for CBS.

The show, from Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, will see Bowen as a successful and independent crisis manager who comes to adopt a young preteen girl.
The multicamera pilot was previously titled Please Hold For Frankie Wolfe, with Bowen portraying the titular Frankie.
Other ‘Wolfes’ in the show will be her character’s nervous wreck of a sister, as well as their parents, Barbara and Arnie.
Last week, the cast of Modern Family made news by sharing heartfelt posts to their Instagram accounts on the occasion of the taping of the final episode.

On February 24th, Julie posted a photo from the set, with her twin boys Gustav and John, now ten years old, sitting on her lap.
‘On Friday I got to close out 11 years of Modern Family with some of my favorite people,’ she captioned the snap, before continuing: ‘(two of whom were in my belly for the very first episode!). What a glorious ride!’
Modern Family ran from 2009 until this year, with 11 seasons and 250 episodes leading to the show’s series finale, which will air on April 8th.

Julie’s previous credits include TV shows Ed, Boston Legal and recurring roles on ER, Lost and Weeds.
In terms of her film roles, Bowen has appeared in Horrible Bosses, Multiplicity, An American Werewolf In Paris and Happy Gilmore, among others.
In addition to Raised By Wolves, another of Julie’s upcoming projects includes a reunion with her Gilmore co-star Adam Sandler, in Netflix’s Hubie Halloween slated for release later this year.
