His condition has been assessed as life-threatening, the Met said.
One male has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a crime scene is in place.
Detectives are appealing for information as inquiries continue to establish the circumstances.
A police spokesman said: ‘Officers attended [the scene]. A 15-year-old boy was found with stab injuries. He was taken to a south London hospital by London’s Air Ambulance.
‘A crime scene is in place. A section 60 Order for Hammersmith and Fulham borough has been put in place and will run until 04:00hrs on Saturday, March 7.’
The enforcement of section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 allows officers more robust stop and search powers for a pre-determined amount of time.
Section 60 has been authorised by the Metropolitan police in the area above today until 4am tomorrow morning
According to a Met police manual document, the order is used when police believe serious violence could take place or that people are carrying offensive weapons in the area.
‘[Used when] an incident involving serious violence has taken place and a dangerous instrument or offensive weapon used in the incident is being carried in the locality,’ the manual document adds.
Police are urging witnesses to contact them on 101 quoting CAD 5315 of March 6.
