Katie Holmes appears to be in great spirits as she flashes a winning smile

Katie Homes showed off her sleek street style once again when she stepped out in New York City on Wednesday.

The 41-year-old slipped into a glossy pleated mahogany skirt, which was hemmed below the knee to emphasize her slender legs. 

The ex-wife of Tom Cruise was clearly in bright spirits, sharing a laugh with the gentleman who opened the door for her as she stepped into a cab.

Katie, who shares her 13-year-old daughter Suri with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, hinted at her midriff in a partly open cardigan blouse.

She accessorized the look with a pair of aviator sunglasses and a bulging black leather handbag, balancing on open-toe heels.

Katie’s love of style led her to Paris Fashion Week last month, where she had a front row seat at the Chloe runway show.

February also saw the release of Katie’s horror movie Brahms: The Boy II, a sequel to the 2016 movie The Boy about a demon doll.

Although the movie holds a 9% on Rotten Tomatoes, it has made its money back, earning over $16 million so far against a $10 million budget per Box Office Mojo.

In a recent interview with Bloody Disgusting Katie revealed that she was genuinely scared while shooting the new movie.

‘It was creepy. It was really creepy every single time. They did such a good job with that doll and I mean, I didn’t want to be alone with the doll. It was weird,’ she said.

‘By the end, it was like: “Am I waiting in line behind a doll at catering? I might be. I think this thing really is alive,’ dished the All We Had director.

After her divorce from celebrity Scientologist Tom, Katie spent years dating Jamie Foxx, whom she split from in 2019. 

Katie and Jamie only went public as a couple in late 2017, though there had been speculation they were an item since 2013.

There was a swirl of rumors that Katie’s divorce agreement prohibited her from publicly dating anyone for five years after her 2012 split with Tom.
