Alesha Dixon in futuristic glamour for the launch of her new book Star Switch

She has revealed she doesn’t want to wait too long to have another child.

And Alesha Dixon has plenty of bedtime stories for any new arrival after celebrating the launch of her new book Star Switch in London on Thursday.

The Britain’s Got Talent star, 41, went for a futuristic look as she posed with fresh copies of her child and teenage fiction novel in a Foyles bookshop.

The rapper wore a dazzling metallic floral dress with padded puffball sleeves and button and foil detailing.

She paired the statement look with some strappy open-toe orange heels and bold silver drop earrings.

Her brunette locks were brushed back over her shoulders in a sleek, straight hairdo.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner used a strong palette of makeup and glossy lip to accentuate her pretty features. 

She proudly posed with a copy of her fifth book, Star Switch, which she launched to celebrate world book day.

Alesha revealed on Thursday’s edition of Loose Women that she would rather try for a third baby sooner rather than later.

She has two daughters, Azura, six, and six-month-old daughter Anaya with her husband Azuka Ononye, and explained: ‘I try not to look at it like that, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say it’s something that I think about.

‘Especially when I think about potentially having another baby – I do think I don’t know if I want to be too old before I have another.’

She went on to add that her eldest daughter keeps changing her mind about whether or not she wants another sibling, especially a little brother.

She said: ‘She has good and bad days. Some days she says no, and then other days she says, “Yes, time for a brother now.” Another one! I’m like, alright, let’s focus on this one, shall we?’

Azura has adjusted to life with a younger sister, although she admitted to her mother Alesha that she has found it tough.

The Boy Does Nothing hitmaker explained: ‘She had one day where she said, “Oh mummy, it’s really hard isn’t it, having two children?”

‘She did actually say that she missed it being just the three of us. “But you did ask me for a sibling, you do know that mummy’s done this for you?”‘  

Earlier in the day, Alesha put on a stylish display as she stepped out of Capital Breakfast’s radio in a semi-sheer high-neck top that showed off her black bra underneath.

Adding to the dramatic look, Alesha kept off the winter chill by wearing an orange jacket, that had the words ‘loading game’ written across the lapel.

She complemented her look by wearing a pair of sleek leggings that accentuated her slender legs, while she boosted her height in a pair of perplex heels.

The star’s sighting comes after Alesha said she believes she’s ‘running out of time’ to have a third child, as she spoke about adjusting to being a mother-of-two. 

Alesha said during an appearance on This Morning last month that it’s ‘taken her a while’ to adjust to having two children, but she feels she’s ‘over the hard part now.’

Alesha is mum to daughters Azura, six, and Anaya, six months, with her partner Azuka, who joined the singer on the This Morning set.

Alesha told Eamonn Holmes and Rochelle Humes that it was a shock caring for another newborn, five years after she had her first child.

She said: ‘It has actually. It’s taken me a while to adjust to having two… It’s new challenges, but I’m getting there. I feel like I’m in the flow now.

‘[Anaya is] at that age now where she’s just starting to sit up, she’s eating three meals a day. Life is kind of balancing out a bit, we’re over the hard part, I think.’

Alesha noted that Azuka was looking after Anaya backstage, and admitted she is open to having another child.

As Rochelle admitted she is ‘always broody,’ Alesha added: ‘I’ll go again next, because I’m running out of time.’
