Cheryl is taught the ‘Sweetie Dance’ by Lily and Joseph during The Greatest Dancer final rehearsals

The Greatest Dancer final is just days away. 

But, Lily and Joseph took a break from rehearsing to teach dance captain Cheryl, 36, the ‘Sweetie Dance’ – a booty popping move which she performed aggressively alongside the extremely excitable youngsters for her Instagram followers.

The former Girls Aloud singer looked terrified by Lily Straughan, 11, and Joseph Chow, eight, asking if they’d had too much sugar after showing off the moves they’d taught her, on Tuesday.

Clad in wet look trousers and tan boots with a plain black top and long-line black blazer, the mother-of-one looked sensational as she twerked her way through the pulsating dance move. 

Lily and Joseph couldn’t contain themselves, with Cheryl heard asking: ‘So that’s the Sweetie Dance? Have you had too much sugar? Did I do it right?’ before rolling her eyes at the camera. 

The former X Factor judge then showed the young duo squealing with excitement, telling her followers: ‘Look at this. I have never…’ as the two children struck a series of sassy poses.

Have you been eating sweets?’ she asked, with Lily delightedly announcing: ‘Lucozade!’ before squealing once again, leaving Cheryl turning to the camera and begging her followers: ‘Guys help!’

On Monday, Cheryl and her team, Lily and Joseph, rehearsed their duet tirelessly in Sunderland. 

The dance captain took to Instagram to tease a glimpse of what was in store for the trio but was soon left exhausted by the over-excited youngsters.  

Cheryl told her followers: ‘So I’m here in Sunderland with Lily and Joseph, we’re practicing our duet. Are you liking it?’ to which the children said: ‘Yeah it’s really hard.’ 

The former Girls Aloud singer then uploaded a series of clips from their warm up, with Cheryl attempting some of the stretches which the youngsters were doing with ease.

While the pair sprung into a backbend and one armed walkover, the star looked on in awe and later sat on the studio floor while they whizzed around her simply brimming with energy. 

She captioned the clips: ‘Sometimes we stop for cuddles and the occasional sit down … well only me’.

Last Saturday, acts Hannah and Brothers of Dance were eliminated.

The acts received the lowest amount of viewers votes are putting their all into their performance, with this week’s themes chosen by their dance captain’s.

Speaking following her exit, Hannah, who performed a dance inspired by the ocean, said: ‘I feel so privileged to have had this experience, it’s been the time of my life. 

‘I just really want to say thank you to Matthew for giving me this incredible opportunity, I feel so so grateful.’

While Cheryl said to her act Brothers of Dance: ‘I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I adore you all, I got to know you all as people, I loved being your dance captain.’

She added of the boys, who performed a military style routine: ‘I’ve never known anyone work so hard, push themselves so hard… just thank you.’ 

Lily and Joseph will face Dancepoint, Michael & Jowita and Harrison Vaughan in the final, which airs Saturday 7th March at 6.30pm on BBC One.
