Married At First Sight EXCLUSIVE: Michael Goonan blasts ‘out of control’ rumours about his personal life – as co-star Josh Pihlak makes wild allegations on live radio

Married At First Sight’s Michael Goonan has hit back at ‘out of control’ rumours being circulated about his personal life.

On Monday, fellow MAFS star Josh Pihlak claimed fame had gone to Michael’s head during an interview with Sea FM’s BarRat and Heidi.

He even accused the company director of hiring a personal bodyguard, which Michael has strongly denied.

Michael is the director of his family business, Adelaide Ice, South Australia’s largest ice manufacturing and packaging company.

He became a millionaire at the age of 24 when he became a company shareholder.

Josh told Sea FM that a friend had seen Michael being rowdy on a night out in Newcastle last month.

‘He was carrying on telling everyone how well off he is, and how much he pays his bodyguard, and being a sleazeball,’ he claimed.

But Michael has denied these accusations, telling Daily Mail Australia on Monday: ‘These rumours are out of control. Entirely false.

‘It’s sad to see what people will say to stay in the limelight. It’s a worry, but that’s what we have to deal with at the moment.’

‘I’m honestly getting used to it. It’s out of control. This is truly a trainwreck. I’ve heard some horrible things about myself through third party articles.’

While Michael acknowledged he’s ‘not perfect’, he said that his close friends and family know the ‘truth’ about him.

Elsewhere in the radio interview, Josh described Michael as the ‘one bloke’ he couldn’t stand to be around during filming.

‘He’s exactly how you see on TV. He’s a s**t stirrer, he came across quite arrogant and I thought he thought he was above everyone else,’ Josh said.

'Those that really know me, know the truth': Michael said he 'wasn't perfect', but denied he had ever hired a bodyguard or bragged having one for attention

During Sunday’s commitment ceremony, Michael’s ‘wife’, Stacey Hampton, broke down in tears after he made her spend another week with him by voting to stay.

He had previously told her he would vote to leave, thereby giving her the freedom to quit the experiment if she wanted to, but changed his mind.
