They’re a cut above! Incredible snaps show hedges cut into mind-bending shapes – including a dog, a dragon and a crocodile ‘eating’ a neighbour’s bin

From a dog to a dragon, these snaps capture incredible topiary from around the world. 

Twitter users shared their best spots after a Scottish man named Barry kicked off a thread with a photo of a hedge cut into the shape of a sleeping dog.  

His picture quickly racked up 70,000 likes, retweets and comments from impressed users who soon shared their own versions.

In one instance a user shared a picture of the majestic horses he spotted during his travels to Rome, while another user posted a picture of a very extravagant dragon.

Meanwhile some houseproud garden lovers even incorporated parts of their garden into the designs, with one crocodile-shaped hedge appearing to eat their bins.

Twitter user Toby Green, from France, shared a picture of some very intricate elephants he spotted in London which racked up 4,000 likes

Elsewhere a rather unusual creature which resembled a pig was seen in a Bristol , and it even had two eyes placed above its cleverly crafted snout

And Twitter user Ellis Pratt was left amused when he spotted a rather convincing teddy bear shaped hedge in a London garden, racking up over 1,000 likes

And elephants seemed to be a common theme, with Jon Mcarthy spotting a small herd of hedge elephants in Wales 

And Catherina from Scotland joked that she ‘knew her son had missed his bus stop to school’ when he passed a strange collection of hedge creatures in a front garden on the school run
