As the 62nd Grammys take place in Los Angeles, many music fans might be wondering which artists have the most awards on their shelves at home.
While most might assume Beyonce , a perennial favourite at the Grammys, can claim the biggest hoard of trophies, she doesn’t actually make the top five artists.

1/11 Georg Solti – 31
The late musical director, who worked with the Chicago Symphony for more than two decades, won a whopping 31 Grammys before his death, aged 84, in 1997.

Tying with Quincy Jones is Alison Krauss, who can claim the most Grammys of any female artist, and also the most Grammys of any female country artist. She shares her wins with her backing band of nearly 30 years, Union Station.
4/11 Pierre Boulez – 26
Boulez’s career included leading the New York Philharmonic and the BBC Symphony Orchestra during the 1970s. He died in 2016 at age 90. His Grammys recognised his work as a conductor for the work of 20th century composers including Bela Bartók and Claude Debussy.

Russian-born US classical pianist and composer Vladimir Horowitz, who died in 1989, won 25 Grammys.
6/11 Stevie Wonder – 25
Stevie Wonder has won 25 Grammys to date, including his latest, the Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals (2007’s “For Once in My Life”).

While he certainly isn’t as instantly recognisable as Beyonce, John Williams is one of the most famous names – not just in the music industry, but in the film industry too. He’s known for his work on the Star Wars franchise, as well as classic Stephen Spielberg films including Jaws and Jurassic Park.

The Irish rock band may have lost out to Beck in 2014 for Best Rock Album, but many would argue they have more than enough Grammys already. They had a double win in 1998, with Album of the Year (The Joshua Tree) and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
