She was brutally dumped by Locky Gilbert during The Bachelor finale, which was filmed this time last year.
And this week, runner-up Bella Varelis took a bit of a swipe at Locky on her Instagram stories after she was asked about her heart being broken on national television.
Bella said that while she was a complete ‘mess’ at the time, she said she’s now in a ‘loving relationship with the man of her dreams.’

‘How do you feel knowing your Bachelor experience has officially been a year ago now?’ one fan asked the brunette in an Instagram Q&A.
‘Weird, this night last year I was a mess. I couldn’t eat, didn’t sleep and I could barely catch a breath through the tears, but I had a room full of people who were so supportive,’ Bella said.

Referring to her new romance with Will Stokoe, Bella said: ‘I’m so grateful to be in a non-toxic, loving relationship with the man of my dreams.’
Bella also said that this time last year, while she was heartbroken she ‘still had a smile’ on her face.
She added that she feels for the runner-up of this year’s Bachelor, who has assumedly finished filming and may have had her heart broken as well.

Last year, Bella was unceremoniously dumped by Locky Gilbert on the Bachelor, as he chose Irena Srbinovska as the winner.
Despite being the front runner the entire season, the brunette beauty’s heart was broken into a million pieces and she stormed off when Locky told her had chosen to be with her love rival and enemy.

‘I just don’t get it. Yesterday, you told me you were in love with me,’ she said in shock.
After he responded by saying he was in love with her, Bella added: ‘Well, why not follow through with a relationship, then?’
He went on: ‘Because I asked you in the pool “what do you see our next year looking like?” And you were so… I needed a little bit more.’
Meanwhile Locky and Irena celebrated their one-year anniversary this week, with it being a year since they filmed the finale of the show.
Locky sweetly said his life ‘changed for the better’ when he met Irena.
‘I couldn’t be more happier with you in my life,’ Locky said.
He added in his Instagram post: ‘It’s been a ride so far and I can’t wait for many more years to come. I love you bub and will love you the rest of my life.’
