‘If I can get through MAFS, this has got to be a piece of cake’: Melissa Rawson reveals how she’s preparing herself to welcome twins after she and Bryce Ruthven shared their big baby news

Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson have just made several big announcements.

The renowned couple of Married at First Sight fame recently got engaged during a helicopter ride, are expecting twins together and have marriage on the cards soon.

And now Melissa, 31, has spoken about how she’s preparing herself to welcome twins, joking that she’s more than ready after appearing on the controversial show, MAFS.

BIG news: Married at First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven, 30, and Melissa Rawson, 31, opened up this week on Today Extra about having twins, getting engaged and future wedding plans

Bryce, 30, and Melissa, 31, appeared on Today Extra this week and spoke about their big news to hosts Belinda Russell and David Campbell.

‘It’s all happening for us, I guess,’ Bruce responded before telling the hosts that he wanted to ‘make something special and memorable’ for their engagement.

David Campbell then asked about the biggest news – the pregnancy and having twins – something he knows about as he shares twins with his wife, Lisa Hewitt.

‘When I found out I was pregnant I was overwhelmed and then when I found out we were having twins I was actually really excited and I don’t think I’m fully prepared,’ Melissa admitted.

‘But I’m looking forward to the challenge. If I can get through Married At First Sight, this has got to be a piece of cake,’ she cheekily added.

Bryce said he’s ‘ecstatic’ about the news and revealed that the duo were wanting two children.

Mel also added that the reality TV couple are planning for marriage potentially towards the end of next after after she ‘loses the twin weight.’

The couple got together after appearing on season 8 of Married at First Sight in 2021.

Their union on the show was controversial after Bryce was accused by viewers of ‘domestic abuse’ and gaslighting. However, Melissa always maintained she didn’t view their relationship as abusive.

A Change.org petition calling for Channel Nine to apologise for ‘failing in its duty of care’ towards Melissa gained thousands of signatures, but it was dismissed by the network.
