Kate Mara pairs her platinum blonde locks with blue jeans and a t-shirt for lunch date with a friend

Kate Mara just wrapped shooting on the 1960s-set drama Call Jane.

And the actress looked happy to have time to meet up with a friend for lunch at a restaurant in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles on Monday.

The House Of Cards alum, 38, kept it casual rocking classic blue jeans and a t-shirt, along with short platinum blonde tresses which she debuted around the time she started filming the film about the early women’s rights movement.

The New York native appeared to be focused on her phone when she was spotted walking from her car to the restaurant entrance.

With the sun glaring down and the temperatures hovering in the mid to upper 80s Fahrenheit, Mara donned stylish dark sunglasses.

She rounded out her ensemble with a a pair of black leather slip-on shoes that she wore without any socks.

Mara had seemingly pulled back on her workload since she was pregnant with her daughter in the summer of 2018.    

Her first post-baby project was the 10-episode limited miniseries drama, A Teacher, which premiered on FX on Hulu in November 2020.

And just last month it was announced that she will be teaming with FX on Hulu again, this time for the sci-fi thriller, Class Of ’09, alongside Brian Tyree Henry.

The series, spread out across three decades featuring three different timelines, is reportedly set in the near future, when the criminal justice system has been completely remade due to the use of artificial intelligence technology., according to Variety. 

Mara and her husband Jamie Bell, 35, have been private about their daughter since announcing her arrival in May 2019 with a photo of her tiny feet. 

‘We had a baby a couple of weeks ago. Here are her feet,’ she wrote in the caption.      

The couple, who met on the set of 2015’s Fantastic Four, will be celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary on Thursday, July 15.

Bell also has a eight-year-old son with his ex-wife, actress Rachel Evan Wood.
