‘Try singing with them!’ Mel C jokes her Spice Girls bandmates needed more ‘practice’ in hilarious jibe on Celebrity Gogglebox

She has become a popular figure on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside her half-brother Paul.

And Mel C took the opportunity while watching Extreme Siblings, to make a cheeky joke at the Spice Girls.

During Extreme Siblings, Sporty Spice, 47, was commenting on two sisters who were attempting to say the same sentences at the same time.

Mel started to say that ‘they need to practise speaking together. It’s like trying to’, before she cut herself off.

‘I’m not going to say what I was going to say,’ she giggled.

However, her half-brother Paul was on the same wave-length as Mel C and finished her sentence off for her.

He asked: ‘Trying to sing with the Spice Girls?’

Mel C admitted she had been about to make that joke before bursting into a fit of laughter at her own joke.

It comes after Mel C reunited with her former bandmate Victoria Beckham’s husband David during the England V Scotland Euro 2020 match last week.

David, 46, took to Instagram on Saturday morning to share a snap on his stories hugging Sporty Spice in the VIP area at Wembley, alongside the caption ‘Spice Up Your Life’.

The pair had headed to the stadium to watch the highly-anticipated game, which resulted in England drawing 0-0 with Scotland in their second Euro 2020 match.

David wore a classy suit and crisp white shirt and had his arm around Mel C’s shoulder as they both smiled for the camera.

Mel had also dressed up for the occasion, also sporting a navy two-piece suit with a white top on underneath.

Captioning the picture, David wrote: ‘When Liverpool and Manchester are in the building.’

Appearing on Good Morning Britain earlier in the day last Friday, Mel C hinted that another reunion could be on the cards, as she believes the much-loved ’90s group ‘would be fools’ not to head back out on the road.

The singer insisted she is ‘pushing’ for the Spice Girls to tour once more and teased it’s something the band have been talking about.

Quizzed by Kate Garraway over whether fans will get to see the Spice Girls – made up of Mel, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Victoria Beckham and Mel B – storm the stage again, Mel revealed: ‘That’s the dream.’

She reflected on the success of the girls’ Spice World tour two years ago, adding: ‘The last shows went so well, it was mind blowing.’

Mel aka Sporty Spice claimed: ‘We would be fools to no want to do it again and play the UK and overseas.

‘I’m always pushing and talking to do it. It’s hard with the pandemic, but it is something we’d like to do.’
