Celebrity Apprentice runner-up Ross Noble has finally revealed the identity of the famous actor who secretly donated $10,00 to his chosen charity during the finale of the show on Tuesday night.

The comedian said Academy Award winner Russell Crowe generously added to his cause.

The comedian told Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa he wanted to give a special shout of for his actor pal, but it was edited out.

‘The money came from him!’ Celebrity Apprentice’s Ross Noble called Russell Crowe ‘an incredibly generous man’ as he revealed the actor donated $10,000 for his charity the Australian Red Cross in the finale of the Channel Nine reality show

‘You were talking about Russell Crowe before there – $10,000 of that money came from Russell, the Rabbitohs, the money came from him!’ he shared.

‘I thanked him on the show, but sadly it didn’t make the cut. He’s an incredibly generous man who doesn’t necessarily shout about it,’ the British-born star added.

Ross revealed that he and the Gladiator star first met on a talk show in the UK.

He explained: ‘We did a TV show in the UK, it was a chat show, I met him there. It’s a very small world!

‘He helped me out a treat and he didn’t get the recognition he deserves so I’m doing it now,’ Ross added, in reference to the Celebrity Apprentice.

For the Celebrity Apprentice finale, Ross organised a high-octane bank heist experience complete with explosions, electrified stairs and a ‘mob boss’ for participants to deal with.

Ross also got emotional during the board meeting, revealing he feared he would let down his charity, the Australian Red Cross, if he didn’t sell enough tickets.

Giving back: Ross also got emotional during the board meeting, he told Lord Sugar in the final board room meeting: 'my wife and I, we lost our house in a bushfire and the Red Cross actually supported us. Now I want to support them,' referring to the 2009 Black Saturday fires
