Founders of popular Byron Bay restaurant The Farm list their $3million boutique venue The Beach House East Coast on the market


Founders of popular Byron Bay restaurant The Farm, Tom and Emma Lane, have put their boutique coastal venue The Beach House East Coast on the market.

The couple bought the property, which was previously a facility for Christian retreats in 2017 for $3million.

After purchasing the venue, Tom and Emma transformed it into an eco-friendly event space.

Tom told Realestate.com.au: ‘I remember when we first went to look at it. You went down this little driveway and it opened up to be this diamond in the rough.’

‘It was rundown and neglected but an amazing block of land looking directly north up the beach. We just knew straight away that we had to do something with it.’

Emma explained the couple spent ‘a fair bit of time developing it’ and used recycled materials and hand-made items.

The venue is located on a secluded coastal headland and offers spectacular views of Angels Beach.

The property features timbers, soft renders as well as muted earthy tones.

It also has seven different event spaces including the entrance courtyard, the beach barn, deck, pebble landing, the ocean landing, garden green and western courtyard.

The Beach House also has boutique style accommodation which can sleep up to 24 guests.

The space consists of four rooms with queen beds and eight rooms with king beds or split kings.

The property also has private beach access to Angel and Shelly Beach.
