The Prioject’s Carrie Bickmore praises Rebel Wilson’s decision to go public with having her eggs frozen as ‘brave’
Carrie Bickmore has applauded Rebel Wilson’s decision to have her eggs frozen last year in what would come to be known as her ‘year of health’.
During Monday night’s episode of The Project, Carrie, 40, paid tribute to the Pooch Perfect star’s honesty and vulnerability.
‘It’s so hard when someone who’s that famous opens up like that, because then it’s hard when you decide to share so much,’ she said.

‘She should be able to share as little or as much as she wants on the terms she wants.
‘It’s brave to go, ‘I will let the world in’. Something so deeply private.
‘The comfort that will provide other women, knowing they are not alone… so many women are affected by it. I hope she’s allowed to deal with it on her terms.’

It comes after Rebel hinted she’s ‘struggling with fertility’ in a cryptic Instagram post shared on Sunday night.
The actress, 41, who split from her boyfriend Jacob Busch after a year of dating in February, shared an image of herself standing by the ocean, along with a caption that suggested she had received ‘bad news’.
In the post, she penned: ‘I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with… but I guess I gotta tell someone. To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya…

‘The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense… but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds.’
Last year, Rebel revealed she wanted to improve her health because she had decided to freeze her eggs.
She explained: ‘I was thinking about fertility and having good quality eggs in the bank, so I was like, ‘OK, I’m going to do this. I’m going to get healthy.”
As part of her ‘year of health’, the Pain & Gain star shed a whopping 30kg in 2020.
