Moana Hope pins her eyes open with cotton buds as she battles exhaustion

She welcomed her first child, a daughter named Svea, in November last year with her wife Isabella Carlstrom.

And on Thursday, AFLW star Moana Hope shared a hilarious video on Instagram – where she unveiled just how she’s coping with all the sleepless nights that come with having a five-month-old tot.

In the funny video, the 33-year-old showed herself propping her eyes open with cotton buds while her lively daughter wriggled in front of her.

‘Everyone: “Oh you’re a new Mum… you must be exhausted!” – me,’ she captioned the footage. 

Her video got an abundance of giggles from her followers, who each commented strings of crying-with-laughter emojis on her post.

‘Day made!’ one wrote, while another added: ‘We should try this to stay awake the next day keeping the baby and the toddlers alive!’

Despite the sleepless nights, Moana recently revealed she wants to try for baby number two with her wife.

‘We’re going to try and get pregnant towards the end of the next year I think, which is super exciting,’ Moana told Woman’s Day. 

She went on to confirm to the magazine that she plans on carrying the child. 

Moana then went on to detail Svea’s birth. 

‘I was able to pull Svea out and put her onto Bell’s chest and in that moment I felt an overwhelming sense of love and protection that I’ve never felt before,’ she said. 

Moana went on to say she wanted a ‘houseful’ of babies for the family.  

‘I want a houseful of babies! But we’re aiming for three at the moment,’ she added.
