Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham posed up a storm for glamorous snaps ahead of the virtual 27th annual SAG Awards on Sunday night.

The actress, 46, who plays Rebecca Welton in the beloved series, looked stunning as she donned a tight red dress with a square neck and black straps for the pictures.

She struck a pose making sure her enviably long legs were on show through the thigh-high slit and wore black stiletto heels to complete the outfit.

The West End actress landed the part of Rebecca Welton, owner of fictional English football club AFC Richmond, in the comedy series.

She hires American coach Ted Lasso — also the name of the 12-part series — to whip the down-on-their-luck team into shape.

Since its launch last year, the Apple TV+ show has become a runaway success, winning awards for creator and star Jason Sudeikis (who plays Ted) — and Waddingham.

At the Critics Choice Awards in January, she was named Best Supporting Actress in a comedy series, with the show winning the top award for best comedy series.

On Sunday, Ted Lasso is in the running for a prestigious Screen Actors Guild [SAG] comedy ensemble trophy as well as best male actor in a comedy series for Jason Sudeikis.

While some celebs still dress up for virtual awards ceremonies during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hannah’s co-star Jason has been dressing down for the events.

The 45-year-old actor and writer wore hoodies while accepting the Golden Globe, Critics Choice and Writers Guild awards for his hit show Ted Lasso.

And with the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, ET Canada spoke with Sudeikis about his planned attire for the SAG Awards, though he isn’t quite sure yet.

His co-star Hannah started laughing when Sudeikis was asked if he knows what hoodie he will wear yet.

‘I haven’t started planning. It’s a last-minute decision, much like the hoodie,’ Sudeikis began.

He added that the ‘big decision’ was whether to wear, ‘the hood up or the hood down’ during his awards show appearances.

‘To buy everyone hoodies would suit me just fine because it was my sister’s company, her dance company, so that still keeps money in the family. Just like the Corleone’s,’ he said, referencing the mafioso crime family in The Godfather.

Sudeikis was joined by Waddingham, his Ted Lasso co-star and co-creator Brendan Hunt, Annette Badland (Mae) and Toheeb Jimoh (Sam) for the interview.

The stars are nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, along with the rest of the cast – Phil Dunster (Jamie Tartt), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), James Lance (Trent Crimm), Nick Mohammed (Nathan Shelley), Jeremy Swift (Higgins) and Juno Temple (Keeley Jones).

They will be going up against the ensembles from Netflix’s Dead to Me, Pop TV’s Schitt’s Creek, HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant and Hulu’s The Great.

Sudeikis is also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, going up against Dan Levy and Eugene Levy from Schitt’s Creek, Nicholas Hoult from The Great and Ramy Youssef from Ramy.

Ted Lasso is based on the NBC Sports ads starring Sudeikis, which were created in 2014 to promote NBC Sports airing Premier League soccer matches.

Sudeikis teamed up with Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly (Detroiters) and Bill Lawrence (Spin City, Scrubs, Cougar Town) to create the new series.

The show centers on Lasso, an American college football coach who is brought in to coach a Premier League soccer team despite having no experience coaching soccer and no actual soccer knowledge whatsoever.

The show has been universally beloved by fans and critics alike, with the show currently filming its second season in London.
