1. Dry the brush in the toilet seat

Once you have gone around the bathroom and cleaned everything including the toilet, Chantel explained she always rests the toilet brush between the lid and the bowl.

This helps to dry it out before you put it back in its holder and ensures you’re not spreading any water droplets or dirt and grime.

2. Make your toilet paper fancy

Chantel’s second trick is for when you have guests over and you want to make your toilet paper look fancy:

‘To make your toilet paper look fancy, fold it into a triangle and seal it against the tap,’ Chantel said.

The sealing against the tap will give it the little stamp that you so often see in hotels and resorts.

3. Add essential oils

Thirdly, the mum-of-two explained there is a simple trick to make your entire bathroom smell amazing, and all you need is the essential oil of your choice.

‘Add three drops of essential oil inside the roll to keep the entire bathroom smelling amazing,’ Chantel said.

The mum likes either peppermint oil or lemongrass oil, as both have fresh scents that are perfect for the bathroom.

Finally, Chantel said she always makes her own DIY spray to keep mirrors and shower screens looking polished - this comprises white vinegar, dish soap and tea tree oil (shower pictured)
