Katie Price has slammed Loose Women for bringing her on the show when she was going through a hard time and allowing her to ‘perform like a seal’.

Speaking on the Changes With Annie Macmanus podcast, the former glamour model, 42, says she ‘feels sick’ when she looks back on her appearances on the ITV show.

She joined the panel regularly up until 2018, and returned for the first time in two years to talk about her documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me.

Speaking out: Katie Price has slammed Loose Women for bringing her on the show when she was going through a hard time and allowing her to ‘perform like a seal’

Katie referred to her tough two years as ‘bad’ and added she ‘still went out there and put on a brave face’.

The mother-of-five said: ‘I was doing Loose Women for two years. When I look back at that it makes me feel sick.

‘Because those two years were bad – bad, bad, mentally. Bad bad bad. But I still went out there and put on a brave face.’

While appearing on the show, Katie discussed her son Harvey’s health issues as well as her mother Amy’s diagnosis with terminal lung disease, and she was continually book for appearances.

She said: ‘I feel like saying to them, “You had me on your show when I was at my illest. But now I am fresh you wouldn’t offer me that back again.”

Katie added: ‘And I feel like saying, “This is me now. You’ll get the best out of me now. You had me at my worst, you had me when mentally I was really going through it.”

‘Which is weird because some people wouldn’t have you on the show like, “No you are not well enough”. In fact I wasn’t well. I wasn’t well but I was still able to perform like a seal.’

Mailonline has contacted an ITV spokesman for comment.

Elsewhere on the podcast, the reality star also discussed being raped at the age of seven during the candid interview.

She admitted male figures ‘have always let me down’ as she discussed the horrifying moment, which took place in a park.

Katie said: ‘The thing that’s always been wrong in my life is men. That is from an early age. I was raped as a kid. At seven. That is in my first book. I was in a park.’

She also explained how her past traumas led her to seek help from The Priory last year.

The former Page 3 star first revealed the incident publicly in her autobiography, Being Jordan, in May 2004.

Katie detailed the damage the ordeal has caused during an appearance on Loose Women in 2017, stating: ‘There was the sexual assault and I was later raped.

‘I have discussed before and I do believe it led to me dressing provocatively and becoming a model.

‘I had been training to be a nurse but the glamour modelling world is aimed at men. They can look but they can’t touch. You can say or do what you like in a picture.’
