A woman who was found dead at a house in Staffordshire has been named and pictured by police.

Kelly Webber, 41, from Burton, was found at the property in Somerset Road on Tuesday.

A man, 39, and a woman, 44, both from Burton, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been bailed while inquiries continue.

Ms Webber’s family have requested privacy and do not wish to comment further, a police statement released this morning said.

Police have said the incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) ‘following earlier police contact’.

The results of a post mortem yesterday were inconclusive and further tests will take place.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: ‘We would kindly ask that people locally do not speculate as to the identity of those involved or the circumstances as we continue to investigate.’

Police forensic officers in white suits were seen at the semi-detached house on Wednesday and were seen going in and out as part of their investigation.
