Tom Felton shares heart-melting childhood throwback picture of working on Harry Potter with Emma Watson and Alfred Enoch

Tom Felton shared a heart-melting childhood throwback this Thursday about the movie franchise that made him a star.

In the picture he and his Harry Potter co-stars Emma Watson and Alfred Enoch could be seen sitting over their scripts round a table.

The photo appeared to have been taking during the making of one of the first two films considering all the children looked extremely young.

Tom was just 14 years old when the first Harry Potter movie came out, while Alfred was only 12 and Emma was the youngest at 11.

Late last year amid the coronavirus pandemic Tom put together a virtual cast reunion for the Harry Potter films including Jason Isaacs who played his father.

Then in December he filmed himself watching the first Harry Potter movie became visibly emotional, telling himself to ‘Keep it together.’

Last month he posted an Instagram clip of himself watching the movie and excitedly spotting his grandfather’s cameos.

Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone and its sequels, based on the global smash book series by JK Rowling, catapulted its child stars to global fame.

the The title role was played by Daniel Radcliffe with Emma as his pal Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint rounding out the trio as Ron Weasley.

Alfred played their friend Dean Thomas while Tom played the cruel school bully Draco Malfoy who ultimately joins the villainous Death Eaters.

Tom and Emma were in all eight Harry Potter films while Dean was in all but the seventh – Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1. 

Since the series concluded Tom has remained close friends with Emma – in 2019 he posted a snap of him teaching her how to play guitar in South Africa.

Emma has confessed in various interviews that she had a childhood crush on him in the early days of their friendship while making the movies.

‘For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton. He was my first crush. He totally knows,’ she told Seventeen years later in 2011.

‘We talked about it – we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that’s cool,’ said Emma, who is now dating businessman Leo Robinton. 

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show she elaborated: ‘Between sort of the ages of 10 and 12 I had a really terrible crush on Tom Felton.’

She explained: ‘We love a bad guy and he was a few years older and he had a skateboard and that just did it, really.’  

Emma said Tom ‘totally knew’ about the crush but would say: ‘”Oh, I see her in like a younger sisterly way,” and it just broke my heart.’
