Phoebe Bridgers calls David Crosby a ‘little b****’ after rocker said her SNL guitar-smashing antics were ‘pathetic’

Phoebe Bridgers and David Crosby are having a difference of opinions.

The Kyoto singer, 26, caused a ruckus when she finished her SNL performance by screaming and smashing her guitar on one of the stage monitors, à la rock stars like Jimi Hendrix and The Clash.

But old school musician Crosby, 79, wasn’t impressed by her antics, calling the stunt ‘pathetic’ when asked about it on Twitter Monday.

Bridgers hit back with an insult, calling the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young co-founder a ‘little b****’ in a reply to the tweet.

Though he didn’t respond to Phoebe directly, Crosby explained his position in another tweet several hours later, writing: ‘Guitars are for playing ..making music …..not stupidly bashing them on a fake monitor for childish stage drama …..

‘I really do NOT give a flying F if others have done it before,’ he told people who pointed out that many of his contemporaries in the 60s and 70s were keen on destroying their instruments for show.

‘It’s still… STUPID,’ he went on.

But Phoebe wasn’t apologizing for the stunt.

On Monday she shared a snap of the moment of impact on her Instagram and wrote: ‘Got some really great feedback from my performance ! next time I’ll just burn it and it will be more expensive.’

Though the I Know The End singer’s grand finale seemed like an impulsive punk rock moment, she admitted the entire things was pre-planned with the guidance of SNL.

After fellow musician Kathleen Edwards tweeted how she was ‘upset’ about the monitor getting broken, Bridgers revealed: ‘They made me a fake one to break lol.’

And the guitar wasn’t a priceless antique, as musician Jason Isbell pointed out in his own tweet.

‘That was like an 85 dollar guitar she smashed come on guys,’ he replied, to which Phoebe added: ‘I told [guitarmaker] Danelectro I was going to do it and they wished me luck and told me they’re hard to break.’
