The Big Little Lies actress was seen wearing a blue pullover sweatshirt on top of a pair of black leggings and matching running shoes; she also wore a black baseball cap to block out the California sun.

She kept her normally flowing blonde hair tied back in a ponytail for the length of her outside time.

The actress also wore a black face mask for the duration of her run to keep herself safe from the recent rise in COVID-19 cases.

After finishing up her jog, Witherspoon took to her Instagram Story to have a discussion with her fans about the intricacies of her running routine.

Witherspoon did clarify that her workout was varied, as it apparently included, ‘a little bit of walking and a little bit of running.’

She also asked her fans about what they listened to during their runs, and set up a poll between music and podcast listeners, although she noted that she was firmly a music listener.

The run comes a day after she posted a video to her account to promote KiwiCo, which designs crates full of arts and crafts materials.

In the video, the actress describes the crates as: ‘really a gift for younger kids, you can get ones that are for older kids,’ to which her eight-year-old son Tennessee responded, ‘yeah, the oldest one is twelve.’

Witherspoon and her son received a crate based around Brazil that day, and proceeded to begin constructing a sloth from materials included in the box.

At one point, Tennessee crawled up on the table and inspected his mom’s drink, asking, ‘Isn’t this brown yarn not supposed to be in your tea?’

After removing the wayward building material from her drink, the two finished the project together, and named the new toy Slothington the Third.

Tennessee seemed to be happy with the project, and he asked his mom if they could get their hands on some more crates in the future.
