And it seems that great minds think alike, as Ita Buttrose and designer Carla Zampatti, both 78, donned pale blue jackets to the Women of the Future Awards at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday.

Ita opted for a navy top with matching trousers and completed her ensemble with a pale blue cape style blazer with long open sleeves.

The blazer worn by Ita, who is a fan of the Sydney-based designer, is part of a piece from Carla’s recent collections and is worth $475.

She carried a chic tote bag and completed her look with a pair of floral heels for a pop of colour.

The media legend accessorised the look with a statement pearl necklaces and a pearl necklace.
