Australian Survivor’s Abbey Holmes announces her engagement to AFL star Keegan Brooksby after he got down on one knee at Uluru

Australian Survivor star and AFL women’s player Abbey Holmes has revealed that she’s engaged to Hawthorn star, Keegan Brooksby. 

Abbey, 29, announced the heartwarming news on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing some gorgeous photographs of the moment Keegan got down on one knee to propose while holidaying in Uluru. 

Abbey, who is also a commentator for Channel Seven, showed off her stunning new diamond ring and said that she ‘can’t wait to marry her best friend.’

‘…. and then on our own private sand dune, in the heart of Australia, I SAID YES,’ Abbey wrote. 

She added: ‘I can’t wait to marry you, my best friend. The organised to my chaos. My rock. I love you.’

Keegan, 30, also shared photos from the proposal and wrote: ‘Perfect moment. Perfect person. Perfect location.’

It appeared that Keegan proposed to Abbey at sunset, as she stunned in a flowing white dress. 

In the images, Keegan got down on one knee as Abbey burst into tears. 

The pair could then be seen toasting their engagement with champagne. 

Underneath the post, Abbey’s Survivor co-star Luke Toki commented: ‘Congratulations @abbeycholmes and @kjbrooksby. What location. Your a bloody sweetheart brother haha.’

In November last year, Abbey revealed that she met Keegan on the dating app, Bumble. 

‘Because of my job and what I do, I was always adamant I couldn’t have any app like that,’ Abbey told AAA, according to Perth Now. 

She added: ‘My friend was sick of me not putting myself out there and, fearful I’d become that crazy, single cat lady, set me up a Bumble account.

‘My first date was him so I am a 100 per cent strike rate.’
