Big Brother’s Sophie Budack reveals plans to move back to Australia

Big Brother’s Sophie Budack reveals plans to relocate back to Australia after she was forced to return home to the Netherlands due to the coronavirus pandemic

She was forced to leave Australia and return to her home country of the Netherlands after the resurgence of COVID-19 made it impossible for her to find work in Sydney.

And now Big Brother star Sophie Budack, 26, has revealed that she’s booked a one way ticket back to Australia and is planning on making the move permanent.

‘My plan was always to come back,’ she began.

Sophie explained: ‘When I first came back to the Netherlands it was only supposed to be for three months, but with corona it kind of just has carried on a bit longer than expected.’

Weeks after placing third on this year’s season of the Channel Seven reality show in July, Sophie revealed she was returning to her native country due to coronavirus restrictions.

The former Olympic gymnast-turned-influencer told Daily Mail Australia upon arrival in Australia, she will reside in Brisbane.

Her decision not to relocate to Sydney could suggest she and boyfriend Chad Hurst, 27, who she met in the Big Brother house, have officially ended their romance.

Speaking of the status of her relationship, back in July Sophie said: ‘On that note a lot of people will be asking about myself and Chad but there are some elements of my life I want to keep private.’

‘For now I am just taking it one step at a time and looking at the positives. At least now I can show you the other side of the world and a bit more of me’.

The couple had awkwardly dodged Sonia Kruger’s questions about their relationship status during the show’s live finale in July.

Chad and Sophie were last spotted together enjoying a low-key beach date at Sydney’s Bondi Beach just two days after Chad won $230,000 in prize money.
