DJ Marshmello’s $550K monster truck stolen and suspect leads police on a pursuit through Los Angeles

Southern California residents took a break from election coverage to watch a pursuit unfold on the streets of Los Angeles.

And it was revealed that DJ Marshmello’s $550,000 monster truck was stolen from a dealership before it crashed outside of a Taco Bell in the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday night.

The chase began in the Van Nuys area when a suspect stole his ride from a Galpin dealership and weaved his way down to Malibu before ending up back near where the pursuit initially began.

The Hennessy VelociRaptor 6×6 was first introduced by Ford in 2017 and retails on average at roughly $360,000.

Local coverage began reporting on the pursuit around 9:50 p.m. when the suspect was heading through Malibu Canyon to the 101 freeway.

Pursuits have become a social media phenomenon in Los Angeles with users following along for every detail of the chase.

Despite the Lost Hills Sheriffs Station issuing a spike strip on Las Virgenes Road, the beast of a vehicle plowed through and made its way to the freeway before circling around surface streets miles away.
