Katie Price’s Maldives trip with Carl Woods ‘is off to bumpy start due to quarantine rules’

Katie Price’s trip to the Maldives is reportedly off to a bumpy start after she realised quarantine rules on her return would effect plans over half-term.

The former glamour model, 42, is set to jet off on a 10-day ‘baby making’ trip with her beau Carl Woods.

However, it is now thought that the couple have had to ‘cancel’ plans to do things with her five children due to having to isolate for 14 days, reports The Sun.

Claims: Katie Price’s trip to the Maldives with beau Carl Woods is reportedly off to a bumpy start after she realised quarantine rules on her return would effect plans with her children over half-term

A source said: ‘They’re not only rushing to get a coronavirus test before going, they’ve realised that they’ll have to quarantine for two weeks after the holiday – so any plans for half term with the kids and any work will have to be cancelled.’

Despite the regulations, another source told the publication the couple will still be heading away for ‘ten days’, with ‘Harvey staying with his carer’.

They added: ‘It’s a badly needed break after a tough year.’

Katie’s representative told The Sun that the star was ‘a tad busy’ before heading off on her first trip with Carl, without her children.

They also added that the star will be quarantining on her return and her brood will be spending half term with their fathers.

MailOnline has also contacted Katie’s representative for a comment.

Visitors to the Maldives have to present a negative PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) test for Covid-19 on arrival to Maldives.

The test and negative PCR certificate must be issued no more than 96 hours prior to departure, reports Gov.uk.

The Maldives is also not on the government’s Travel Corridor List, meaning anyone who returns from the country has to isolate for 14 days.

The Maldives trip follows Katie and Carl’s earlier jaunt to Turkey over the summer – where the mother-of-five ended up breaking her feet.

It comes after sources claimed Katie was jetting on a ‘baby-making’ Maldives holiday, with The Sun reporting she is on a ‘fertility diet’.

Insiders revealed: ‘Katie’s really excited and has been telling everyone that she and Carl will spend the whole holiday ‘making babies’…

‘Nobody would be surprised if she returned pregnant with her sixth baby. She’s already taking folic acid and is on a ‘fertility diet’ with lots of spinach and vitamins. They’re moving very fast, but as Katie says, she’s not getting any younger.’

The former glamour model, who already has five children, declared she wants ‘as many kids as my body can take’ as she and her beau of just four months took part in a joint Instagram Q&A on Sunday.

Reality star Katie gave birth to her eldest child Harvey, 18, in 2002 following a romance with footballer Dwight Yorke, and she shares Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, with former husband Peter Andre. She also has Jett, seven, and Bunny, six, with ex Kieran Hayler.

When asked about how much she’d want to add to her brood, the reality star said: ‘As many as my body can take. To have all these little Woods running around are amazing creations.’

The media personality also insisted marriage, kids and purchasing a home are all part of her future plan after moving out of her ‘mucky mansion’, while former Love Island star Carl said he’d ‘love his children as much as he loves Katie’s’.

Their comments follow on from what a source told MailOnline about the next steps in their relationship.

The insider said: ‘She’s in a really great headspace at the moment, she’s so happy and she’s not drinking. Her manager is keeping her organised, she has a diary to keep track of her schedule.

‘Katie and Carl are really happy, they are a power couple. Carl is very supportive of Katie and they hope to have children in the future.’

Their baby-making plans were revealed on her YouTube upload last month, after her eldest daughter, Princess, found an open ovulation test.

While looking for the products, the teen pulled out the test and asked: ‘One thing, why is there an open pregnancy test? I brought it just to show you that it’s open.’
