The Masked Singer: Brian Austin Green removes Giraffe mask after stumping whole panel on Fox show

Brian Austin Green was revealed to be underneath the Giraffe costume on The Masked Singer on Wednesday during the  Group A playoffs episode.

The 47-year-old actor grinned at the show’s panel as he removed his mask, saying, ‘You guys were all so close, but so far.’

None of them had correctly guessed the identity of the Beverly Hills, 90210 star, who sang Kool and the Gang’s 1981 classic Get Down On It.

Robin Thicke, 43, was especially shocked, as the panelist and Brian were neighbors and had been best friends as teenagers, and even performed in a band called Think Twice together.

‘I love you,’ Robin told Brian, applauding. ‘I can’t believe that’s you! Oh my God.’

The Giraffe’s clues package made several references to Brian’s ongoing and very public split with actress Megan Fox, 34, who is now dating the rapper Machine Gun Kelly, 30.

‘I’ve survived and thrived in the animal kingdom by seeing the big picture and staying above the drama,’ he said, as last year’s The Masked Singer winner, the Fox (Wayne Brady), was shown.

‘Recently, my whole world came crashing down,’  Giraffe added. ‘I’ve kept it mostly secret, but my life was transformed in the blink of an eye’.

The clue was a nod to Megan and her 2007 film Transformers.

Brian mentioned a stroke-like brain condition he suffered in 2014.

‘I had a terrifying episode that really scrambled my brain,’ he remembered. ‘I could barely walk or talk. But I’m a fighter, and I defeated my invisible predator. Now I’m at a crossroads in life. The one thing that keeps me going is my herd.’

In a new show feature, a drone brought out the clue of a large domino with two halves and four dots, which referred to Brian and Megan’s four sons.

Other visual clues included a robin, a reference to Robin himself; peaches, which nodded to 90210’s famed Peach Pit; a ferris wheel, for Brian’s 1996 rap album, ‘One Stop Carnival,’ and a racing golf cart, which reflected his win at the 2010 Celebrity Grand Prix.

Brian said it had been fun being on the show, adding, ‘I’ve loved messing with Ken. We’ve never met before, but you talk way too much.’

The panelists had no clue who Giraffe was, naming his 90210 co-star Jason Priestley, 51, actors Shia LaBeouf, 34, and Seth Green, 46, racecar driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr., 45, and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, 44, among others.

‘Let’s get the band back together!’ Robin yelled, as he joined Brian onstage to perform the Kool & The Gang song again.

‘I wasn’t always a healthy treat,’ she said, lying in a hospital bed. ‘When I was a tiny kernel, I suffered from a bizarre condition. I couldn’t eat or sleep. I developed severe anxiety, and felt like I was in an emotional prison. Until I dug deep in my pop core and found my voice, which led me away from the drama to the other side. Yes, because of my voice, I survived.’

Visual clues in her package included cats, candles, the number 16, gold coins, lightning, a Rubik’s cube, a hair iron, a rainbow flag and a French mansion.

Robin was wowed, saying, ‘The beauty of this show is they can’t show you their emotions with their face, so you have to hear it in their voice. All of the emotion, all of the quivering, the power, the strength, the vulnerability—it all came through in that performance.’

In their pre-taped video, the male owl said, ‘We’ve always had each other’s backs, like when I was going through a messy breakup and got swept up in an avalanche of emotions.’

The female owl agreed, noting, ‘I took his side, and I was his anchor, despite ”beaklash” from our community. And when I was in low places, he was my knight in shining armor. I had an opportunity fit for a queen that I was too scared to do.’

The male owl cried: ‘But I said, ”You can do it!”

‘Being there for each other has made us super-tight,’ her partner affirmed.

‘It was probably out of all of our seasons, my favorite female vocal I’ve ever heard on this show,’ she said.

‘I missed out on a lot of my childhood growing up in a fractured home,’ the Sun noted in her video, standing in front of a Victorian country house. ‘But lately I’ve made up for that lost time, discovering childlike outlets to make life magical—like going into the woods to find harmony in nature. I love dirt in my toes, a young memory of mine. And the land that slides as my heart walks a line. And I’ve become a whiz at cooking up tasty treats for like-minded immaterial girls. Finally, I’m always looking on the bright side, burning ugly rumors out of my life.’

Clues included a red hourglass with a spider on it, a greenhouse and watering can, a blue butterfly, candy canes, a cauldron with pink ‘soup,’ and a lock of hair.

The Masked Singer will return next week on Fox.
