‘We feel like we owe it to our fans’: McLeod’s Daughters star Bridie Carter reveals the cast is keen to film a reboot
Bridie Carter has revealed that the McLeod’s Daughters cast are keen to reboot the beloved series.
The Australian actress, best known for her role as Tess Silverman on the drama, said the show’s stars feel they owe a reunion to their fans.
Speaking to Sydney Confidential on Saturday, the 48-year-old explained while the cast were ‘open to it’, Channel Nine hasn’t made any promises.

‘We’re all open to it so we’ll just see what happens,’ Bridie said of the show.
She added: ‘We feel like we owe it to our audience and our fans. I call our fans friends we haven’t met yet. It’s not about us, it’s about them. We have to!’
But despite Bridie’s enthusiasm, she admitted she couldn’t promise a reboot will happen, with the final decision up to Channel Nine.

Bridie went on to explain she felt McLeod’s Daughters’ ongoing following stems from the show not trying to be ‘highbrow’.
She isn’t the only McLeod’s Daughters star who was hoping the series will return – in November, Lisa Chappell told Woman’s Day she also hoped for a reunion.
‘I really do hope it happens – and that’s not to say I know something is happening – but from a purely human point of wanting to put good in the world,’ Lisa said.

McLeod’s Daughters, which followed the lives of five women running a cattle station in the outback, aired for eight seasons on Channel Nine between 2001 and 2009.
It was one of the most successful shows on Australian TV, garnering an average of 1.51 million viewers during its first season.
Back in July 2017, a Channel Nine spokesman told News.com.au: ‘We are talking to [co-creator] Posie Graeme-Evans about how we could tackle it.
