Not taking any chances: Seven weather presenter Jane Bunn praises her hair and makeup artists for wearing gloves and masks amid the rapid spread of coronavirus

Weather presenter Jane Bunn, 41, is taking every precaution she can when it comes to staying safe amid the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).  

Despite Prime Minister Scott Morrison urging Australians to stay 1.5 metres apart, Jane’s dedicated hair and makeup artists were willing to risk closer contact on Sunday. 

Taking a photo with her team wearing protective gear, Jane praised the professionals for doing their part in the troubling time.

‘The world is rapidly changing, but we adapt and do what we have to do to get the job done,’ Jane captioned her behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram.   

The meteorologist added: ‘I’m seeing amazing skills from all my super dedicated makeup artists – having to do hair in rubber gloves (try that at home!), and make up a face in detail from behind a mask, also in gloves.’

‘A big thank you, I couldn’t do it without you,’ she said.

Channel Seven’s Sunrise team also confirmed on Monday that their hair and makeup teams were also following suit.

Host David ‘Kochie’ Koch said their makeup artists were all wearing special P95 masks when they are tending to talent. 

On Friday, Sunrise announced: ‘The show is going to look a little different for a while as we follow the government’s advice by practising social distancing and limiting in-studio guests.’

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced stricter social distancing rules on Sunday, including the closure of cafe and restaurant dining areas, pubs, clubs, cinemas and gyms. 

It follows a push for non-essential services to be shut down by the government to minimise the spread of coronavirus. 

As of Sunday night, there were 1,354 reported cases of coronavirus in Australia, including seven deaths.
