Peter Rabbit hops on to the Bricklive UK tour: Beatrix Potter’s publisher to hold Lego-building events

Children’s entertainment group Live Company has inked a deal with Beatrix Potter’s publisher to hold Peter Rabbit-themed Lego-building events.

A UK tour based around the beloved children’s character is planned for the end of the year.

Two months ago the group sealed a deal with Entertainment One to use characters from the successful cartoon series Peppa Pig at its UK and Ireland events.

The Tale Of Peter Rabbit was published by Frederick Warne in 1902 and has never been out of print.

Live Company will pay the publisher – now part of Penguin – to use the characters. It previously worked with Penguin on a tour based on The Snowman And The Snowdog.

Live Company’s tours – called Bricklive – involve under-12s in Lego-building games and activities, while its specialists make models of everything from the Eiffel Tower to life-sized elephants.

Last year it hosted 71 events in 14 countries.
